Team India Set for Australia Tour
Team India will tour Australia in November. Team India will play a 5-match Border Gavaskar Trophy Test series against Australia in this tour. The BCCI selection committee announced the Indian squad for this series on October 25. The selection committee gave a chance to 18 players in the main squad for this tour.
So 3 reserve players have been included. Rohit Sharma will lead Team India. Jasprit Bumrah has the responsibility of vice-captain. Team India finally toured Australia for the Border Gavaskar Trophy in 2020-2021. At that time, India won the series 2-1 under the leadership of Ajinkya Rahane.

Players Missing from the Squad
Team India has dominated the Border Gavaskar Trophy in the last few years. Team India has won the Border Gavaskar Prestige series in the last two tours of Australia. The 2020-2021 tour was an unforgettable one for Team India. India made a comeback when trailing in the series and won the series.
Many players were caught in the net of injury in that series. The then captain Virat Kohli had returned home. But even after that, in the absence of Virat, Ajinkya Rahane had hoisted the tricolor by combining young and experienced players. Then 11 players who contributed to the series win are not included in this year’s team.
Virat was the captain then. But due to personal reasons, Virat returned home after playing 1 match. Then Ajinkya Rahane took the lead. But this year, Ajinkya Rahane is not. Experienced Cheteshwar Pujara is also not included. Mayank Agarwal, Wriddhiman Saha, Prithvi Shaw, Hanuma Vihari, Umesh Yadav, and T Natarajan also did not get a chance.
