A Storm of Runs
As soon as Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal came on the field, they brought a storm with them. This storm was of runs. As soon as they came, both started batting fiercely. Seeing the batting of these two, it seemed that a T20 match was being played in white clothes. India completed its 50 runs in just 18 balls i.e. three overs and with this created a world record.
This is the fastest fifty made by any team in Tests. Earlier this record was in the name of England which completed its half-century in 4.2 overs against West Indies this year. This is the first time that India has reached a half-century in just three overs in any format. In Tests, batsmen usually bat comfortably and take 8-10 overs to score 50 runs but the desire to win the match forced both of them to show their fierce form.
