Shakib Al Hasan May Miss Kanpur Test Due to Finger Injury
The second match of the 2 Test match series between India and Bangladesh will be played at Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. The match will start on 27 September. Before this, the Bangladesh cricket team suffered a big setback. Bangladesh’s star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is suffering from a finger injury. In such a situation, he may be out of the second Test. He bowled in the first Test even after the injury. This has increased his trouble further.
When Shakib Al Hasan was batting in the first Test, Indian fast bowler Jaspreet Bumrah’s ball hit him. The ball was so strong that blood came out of Shakib’s finger. He was treated immediately after this. Now he is under the supervision of the medical team.
Bangladesh selector Hannan Sarkar said, “Shakib’s finger problem came to light only after he started bowling in Chennai. He admitted that he will have to wait to see if he is fit for Kanpur or not. We have a lot of time before the Kanpur Test. We will inspect it. He was 100% fit before the Chennai Test. He did not feel any problem before the match. When he started bowling, he had trouble.”
Talking about Shakib Al Hasan’s performance in the first Test played in Chennai, he scored 32 runs in 64 balls with the help of 5 fours in the first innings. In the second innings, 25 runs came off 56 balls from his bat. Shakib bowled in the match. He bowled 21 overs, but Shakib did not get any success.
