Having already secured the series with a 3-1 lead, India approached the final match with determination to solidify their position in the World Test Championship rankings. Winning the toss, England opted to bat first but could only manage a total of 218 runs in their first innings, courtesy of exceptional bowling by Kuldeep Yadav and R Ashwin.

Bowlers Shine as England Falters:

India’s bowling attack, led by Kuldeep Yadav and supported by R Ashwin, rattled the English batting lineup, restricting them to a modest score. Apart from Zac Crowley’s resilient innings of 79 runs, England struggled to cope with the spin duo’s skillful deliveries. Kuldeep Yadav’s remarkable performance, with the highest number of wickets (5), was complemented by R Ashwin’s contribution of 4 wickets, ensuring India’s dominance on the field.
