Ben Sears Ruled Out of India vs New Zealand Test Series

The three-match Test series between India and New Zealand begins tomorrow. The first match will be played from October 16 to 20 at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. But before the start of the series, the problems of the Kiwi team have increased. New Zealand Cricket informed through Twitter that fast bowler Ben Sears has been ruled out of the entire Test series due to injury. Uncapped bowler Jacob Duffy has got a chance to replace Sears who is out due to a knee injury.

Jacob Duffy Replaces Injured Ben Sears

Young New Zealand bowler Ben Sears did not come with the team to India due to a left knee injury. After a few days of treatment, the New Zealand medical team was hopeful that he would be fully fit for the India tour. But it didn’t happen. Doctors have advised him to complete rest. After Ben Sears’ injury, Jacob Duffy was included in the squad in his place. Jacob has played ODIs and T20 Internationals for New Zealand but is yet to make his Test debut. In such a situation, the Kiwi team can give him a chance to make his debut for the Test series against India.

New Zealand’s Tough Challenge in India

Team India, who won a resounding victory against Bangladesh, will start the Test series against the equal New Zealand team from tomorrow. There will be three matches in this series and the first match will start tomorrow at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. The second match of the series will be played from October 24 to 28 in Pune and the third match will be played from November 1 to November 5 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Although India defeated Bangladesh, the New Zealand team has not performed very well in the last one and a half months. New Zealand’s Test match against Afghanistan was canceled due to rain. After that, New Zealand had to accept a 2-0 Test series defeat against Sri Lanka. So they will try to make a strong comeback through this series.
