Sophie Devine’s Surprising Dismissal
The New Zealand women’s cricket team on the tour of India shined in the opening match. The Kiwi team shocked the Indian fans by bowling out the host Indian team in 44.3 overs. The New Zealand players who came to chase this challenge played cautiously.
But, their team captain Sophie Devine was ridiculously dismissed. Indian all-rounder Deepti Sharma is known for her tough game. On the last ball of the twelfth over, Deepti did not allow the captain of the rival team to run. This ball went for no run.

With the over over, Sophie was trying to get to the other end. However, despite knowing that the ball was in Deepti’s hands, she was moving towards the other end. Meanwhile, Deepti gave the ball to India’s wicketkeeper Yastika Bhatia and she did not miss a chance to run out Sophie.

India’s New Players Shine
Meanwhile, as the Indian players appealed, the umpires gave the decision with the help of a third umpire. Finally, on the big screen, the New Zealand players are being shown out. Seeing all this, even Sophie Devine could not believe it. But, due to her little mistake, she had to return to the tent.
Resting India’s regular captain Harmanpreet gave the youngster a chance to make his debut. Saima Thakur is making his debut for India in today’s match against New Zealand. Apart from this, Tejal Hasbanis also got the cap of Team India. India won the toss and decided to bat first and scored 227 runs all out.
