Shafali Verma gave an aggressive start from India. She scored 33 runs off 22 balls with 5 fours and 1 six. But captain Smriti Mandhana could not do anything special. She returned to the tent scoring only 5 runs. Yastika Bhatia scored 37 runs.

Dayalan Hemaltha could score only 3 runs. Jemimah Rodrigues scored 35 runs, Tejal Hasbanis, and Deepti Sharma scored 41 runs. After that, the innings rumbled. Arundhati Reddy scored 14, Radha Yadav 3 and Saima Thakor 2nd were dismissed.
