India Champions vs Pakistan Champions Match Cancelled in WCL 2025

India Champions vs Pakistan Champions: Organisers have cancelled the much-awaited match between India Champions and Pakistan Champions in the second season of the World Championship of Legends (WCL) 2025. They had scheduled this match as a thrilling two-legged clash between the arch-rivals. However, following strong reactions on social media and growing opposition due to the recent Pahalgam terrorist attack, several Indian players decided to withdraw from the game.
As more players backed out, the organisers cancelled the match altogether. The match would have marked the first face-off between former Indian and Pakistani cricketers after the attack, but fan emotions and security concerns took priority.
India’s Next Match: India Champions vs South Africa Champions
With the Pakistan match cancelled, India Champions will now play their next match against South Africa Champions on July 22. This match will be held in Northampton and will start at 9 PM IST.
Fans can watch the match live on Star Sports Network or stream it on the Fancode app on mobile. The Indian team is led by former all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, while AB de Villiers, also known as Mr. 360, is leading the South African side.
What Happened in South Africa’s First Match?
South Africa played their opening match of WCL 2025 against the West Indies Champions on July 19. The match ended in a thrilling tie. Since the game couldn’t be decided in the regular 20 overs, the result was determined through a ball out, not a super over. South Africa won the ball out by 2-0, starting their campaign with a win.
