India Sets Massive 515-Run Target for Bangladesh

Team India has given Bangladesh a challenge of 515 runs to win the first Test match. Team India declared their second innings on 287 runs on the third day. The Indian Team had a first-innings lead of 227 runs. So Bangladesh has got 515th target. In India’s second innings, Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant made a great partnership. Also, both hit individual half-centuries.

It was on that basis that India managed to reach the 500 mark. Now, after the batsmen, the Indian bowlers will have the responsibility to quickly wrap up Bangladesh in the second innings as well as in the first innings.

Gill and Pant Lead India’s Charge

In India’s second innings, another player didn’t score. Opening batsman Rishabh Pant scored 10 runs off 17 balls. Captain Rohit Sharma scored 5 runs off 7 balls. Virat Kohli could not do anything special in the second innings either. He faced 37 balls and scored 17 runs. KL Rahul remained unbeaten by scoring 22 runs off 19 balls.

Bangladesh now faces a daunting task, needing 515 runs to win. The responsibility lies on India’s bowlers to wrap up the Bangladesh innings quickly, just like they did in the first innings.
