Team India Advances to the Final
Team India has made it to the final of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Team India defeated England by 68 runs in the second semi-final to avenge the defeat of 2022. Team India challenged England to 172 runs for victory. But England bowed down before the spinners of Team India. India’s spinners bowled out England for 103 runs. This is the third time in T20 World Cup history for Team India to reach the final and the first time since 2014.

England won the toss and forced Team India to bat. Team India scored 171 runs for the loss of 7 wickets on the strength of captain Rohit Sharma’s half-century. Rohit scored the highest 57 runs for Team India. Suryakumar Yadav contributed 47 runs. Hardik Pandya played an explosive innings of 23 runs. Ravindra Jadeja scored 17 not out. Akshar Patel scored 10 runs. Virat Kohli contributed 9 runs and Rishabh Pant 4 runs. While Arshdeep Singh scored 1 run not out. Chris Jordan took the most 3 wickets from England. Adil Rashid, Sam Karan, Jofra Archer, and Rhys Topli took 1 wicket each.

Dominant Bowling Performance
Harry Brooke was the highest scorer for England with 25 runs. Captain Jos Buttler 23, Jofra Archer 21, and Liam Livingstone contributed 11 runs. Jonny Bairstow was out for a zero as soon as he came on. So 5 people could not reach the double figure. Reese Basket remained unbeaten on 3 runs. Akshar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav took 3 wickets each for Team India. So Jasprit Bumrah showed the way to both of them off the field. Both ran out.
