India's Must-Win Second Test: Big Changes Loom for KL Rahul and Team

Team India Faces Tough Decisions Ahead of Second Test

After losing the first Test match against New Zealand, Team India’s future calculations have been ruined. A series win is important, but the maths of the World Test Championship is going to be complicated. Therefore, the remaining two Test matches will have to be won at any cost. Otherwise, Team India is going to have an ordeal in the Australia Test series. Because if Team India’s maths fails, then Sri Lanka, England, and New Zealand have staked their claim.

Shubman Gill Likely to Replace KL Rahul

Captain Rohit Sharma will have to make some tough decisions in the second Test match. It seems that there is a need to make some changes in the playing eleven. Because if Shubman Gill comes to the team, the question will be who to sit. So KL Rahul seems to be the only option. Because he has failed in batting. Gachal, on the other hand, has come under the radar because of his fielding. So there is little chance of Rohit Sharma giving KL Rahul a chance in the second Test match.

Sarfaraz Khan has scored 150 runs in the first Test. So it is difficult to exclude him from the playing 11 now. So, if Shubman Gill enters the team, it seems that there is no option but to replace KL Rahul. Because KL Rahul has repeatedly failed in the last few Tests. KL Rahul doesn’t seem to pass the exam despite being given repeated chances. Even in the Test against Bangladesh, KL Rahul could not do anything special. So there is a doubt whether KL Rahul will get a chance in the Pune Test or not.

Washington Sundar Joins the Squad

On the other hand, there is talk on social media that it is difficult for KL Rahul to get a chance again in Tests. So, now the attention of sports lovers is on whether they get a place in the second test match or not. Meanwhile, BCCI has announced the squad for the remaining two Test matches. No one has been dropped from the current squad.

But all-rounder Washington Sundar has entered the team. So Washington Sundar is likely to get a place in the second Test. At the same time, attention is being paid to who will skipper Rohit Sharma from the playing 11.
