The India U-19 Women’s Cricket Team defeated South Africa by seven wickets to win the ICC Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup title.
The Indian team hoisted its flag for the second consecutive year in the final match held at Bayuemas Oval in Kuala Lumpur. The young Women in Blue celebrated their triumph with jubilant scenes on the field and showing the excitement of victory. With this victory, the Indian Under-19 Women’s Cricket Team successfully defended the title won in the inaugural edition of 2023.

India U-19 Women’s Dominant Performance Against South Africa
Batting first, the South African team scored 125 runs in 20 overs. Captain Kayla Reneke scored the highest 45 runs for the team. For the Indian team, Vaishnavi Sharma and Ayushi Shukla put pressure on the South African batsmen in bowling. Vaishnavi Sharma took 3 wickets for 20 runs. While Shukla took 2 wickets for 25 runs. Both the bowlers performed well.
Chasing the score of 125 runs for South Africa, opener Kamalini and Trisha made a strong start by making a partnership of 60 runs. Both batted aggressively, Kamalini scored 35 runs in 28 balls, and Trisha scored 40 runs in 32 balls. After her return to the pavilion, captain Nikki Prasad scored an unbeaten 30 runs. By that time the Indian team had come close to victory. Chasing the target in 18.4 overs, India scored 126 runs for 3 wickets.
