Arshdeep Singh Debut: A five-match Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy Test series is currently being played between England and India. The last match of the Test series will be played from July 31 at Kennington Oval, London. On the other hand, before the start of this match, if the latest media reports are to be believed, then young left-arm fast bowler Arshdeep Singh can make his debut in this Test match.
Arshdeep, who missed out on his debut in the fourth Test due to injury, has now recovered and is fully fit. His inclusion could bring a fresh boost to India’s bowling attack, especially if Jasprit Bumrah is rested due to workload concerns.
India vs England: Arshdeep Singh Set for Debut in 5th Test
According to recent media reports, including Times of India, Arshdeep Singh is likely to be included in the playing XI for the final Test. Arshdeep had earlier been considered for the fourth Test at Old Trafford, but a pre-match injury kept him out.
Now, after recovering completely, Arshdeep has been seen bowling in the nets under the watchful eye of bowling coach Morne Morkel. With the series on the line and the need to pick 20 wickets, India may look to utilize Arshdeep’s left-arm pace and swing to trouble the English batters.
If selected, this will mark the beginning of Arshdeep’s red-ball journey in international cricket after already making an impact in white-ball formats.
Kuldeep Yadav and Dhruv Jurel Also in the Frame
Also let us tell you that in the last match of the five-match Test series against England, spinner Kuldeep Yadav can also get a chance, who has not played a single match in this series so far. Also, Dhruv Jurel will be seen playing in this match in place of injured Rishabh Pant.
