The Indian U19 Women’s team has secured its spot in the Asia Cup final with a brilliant performance. The Indian team has made its debut in the final by defeating Sri Lanka. The final match of the Asia Cup will be held on 22 December.
The Under-19 Women’s Asia Cup 2024 final match will be held on Sunday at Bayuemas Oval in Kuala Lumpur. The Indian team has entered the final of the Asia Cup by defeating Sri Lanka by four wickets. In their last match of the Super-4 played at Bayuemas Oval in Kuala Lumpur, India got a target of 99 runs to win. The Indian team chased down the target easily. The final match will be played between India and Bangladesh.
Performance of the Indian U19 Women’s team:
Gongadi Trisha was the best batsman in batting for India. She scored the highest 32 runs in 22 balls. Apart from her, G. Kamalini also contributed 28 runs in 26 balls. Kamalini hit three fours and a six during her innings. Mithila Vinod scored 17 runs by hitting four fours and remained unbeaten.
Chamodi Prabodha took the maximum three wickets in bowling for Sri Lanka and Shashini Gimhani also took two wickets.
After losing the toss and batting first, the Sri Lankan team gave the Indian team a target of 99 runs. Sri Lankan captain Manudi Nanayakkara contributed the highest 33 runs in 30 balls. During her innings, she hit two sixes and a four.
Wicketkeeper Sumudu Nissansala contributed 21 runs. The rest of the Sri Lankan batsmen could not perform well.

For India, Ayushi Shukla delivered an outstanding bowling performance. Left-arm spinner Ayushi Shukla took the maximum four wickets. Left-arm spin bowler Parunika Sisodiya also took two wickets. Shabnam Shakeel and Driti Kesari also got one wicket each.
