BCCI selection committee chairman Ajit Agarkar announced Team India’s squad for the much-awaited Asia Cup 2025 in a press conference held in Mumbai. He was joined by T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav, who will be leading the side in this tournament.
The Asia Cup 2025 will begin on September 9 and the final will be played on September 28 in the UAE, with matches scheduled in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Eight teams are divided into two groups, and the top two from each group will qualify for the Super 4 stage. India, the defending champions, will aim to retain the trophy.

India has picked a balanced squad of youngsters and experienced players. Suryakumar Yadav will lead the team, while Shubman Gill serves as vice-captain. Jasprit Bumrah returns to strengthen the bowling attack, and the selectors have included two wicketkeepers — Sanju Samson and Jitesh Sharma.
