Women’s T20 World Cup 2024: India Ready for the Challenge
From October 3, the thrill of the Women’s Twenty20 World Cup will be played on the soil of UAE. The Women’s World Cup consists of 10 nations namely champions Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, Ireland, New Zealand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, South Africa, and West Indies. The opening match will be played on 3rd October and the final match will be played on 20th October.
Teams like India, Australia, England, and West Indies are seen as strong contenders for the tournament. But, Harmanpreet Kaur-led team India will be looking to end the World Cup trophy drought. India’s Young Squad Set for Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 in UAE
Meanwhile, young players have been given a chance in the 15-man India squad announced by the BCCI. Recently ICC released new schedule of T20 World Cup 2024. This competition will start from October 3. Bangladesh will host the Women’s World Cup 2024. But as political violence erupted there, the ICC changed venue. On August 20, the ICC announced the new venue for the tournament, saying that the tournament would be held in the UAE. The Indian team will begin their campaign against New Zealand on October 4.
