Indonesia vs Saudi Arabia Preview – Match Preview

Indonesia had mixed results in the third stage of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers. They finished 4th in Group C with 12 points from 10 matches, behind Japan, Australia, and Saudi Arabia, but ahead of China and Bahrain.

Key wins included 1-0 victories against Bahrain in the 8th round and China in the 9th round, with Ole ter Haar Romeny scoring the only goal in both matches.

After a heavy 6-0 loss to Japan in the final round in June, Indonesia played two friendlies in September. They crushed Taiwan 6-0 but drew 0-0 against Lebanon.

Saudi Arabia had a disappointing run in the last World Cup 2026 qualifiers, winning only 3 out of 10 games and scoring just 7 goals, finishing 3rd behind Japan and Australia.

After that, they played in the Gold Cup, reaching the quarterfinals. They beat Haiti 1-0, lost 1-0 to the USA, drew 1-1 with Trinidad & Tobago, but were finally eliminated by Mexico 2-0.

Herve Renard’s team played two friendlies in early September, winning 2-1 against North Macedonia and drawing 1-1 with the Czech Republic, with Abdullah Al Hamdan scoring in both games.
