The first ODI match between Team India vs South Africa has been organized at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. Team India won the toss and decided to bat. However, as Team India lost wickets at regular intervals, the situation was 99 for 5. But after that, both Smriti Mandhana and Deepti Sharma effectively saved Team India’s innings. Both shared a partnership of 81 runs for the sixth wicket. After that, Deepti Sharma was out for 37 runs in 48 balls. So the condition of Team India became 180 for 6.

Pooja Vastrakar entered the field after Deepti. Team India reached the 200 mark. Smriti then scored the sixth century of her ODI career. Smriti completed the century in 116 balls at a strike rate of 86.21. Smriti hit 10 fours and 1 six in this inning.
