Kavya Maran’s Key Demands
According to a Cricbuzz report, SRH owner Kavya Maran has said, “It takes a lot of time to build a team and as discussed, grooming young players also takes a lot of time and investment. Abhishek Sharma took 3 years to bring stability to his performance. You will agree that other teams have many such examples.” She prefers mini auctions every year instead of the mega auctions.
Kavya Maran further said, “After being selected, if a player does not play the entire season for any reason other than injury, he should be banned. The franchise puts a lot of effort in the auction, if a player goes for a low amount and does not come, then it affects the team combination”.

Kavya Maran has demanded to remove the restriction on the number of foreign players, as last time BCCI allowed to retain a maximum of 2 foreign players, as every team is formed differently which consists of Indian players, foreign players, and uncapped players.
The meeting underscored the varying perspectives among team owners, highlighting the need for the BCCI to carefully consider these viewpoints as they finalize the auction rules for the 2025 season.
