The 15th match of TATA IPL 2025 was played between KKR and SRH at Eden Garden. KKR beat SRH by a big margin of 80 runs, which improved KKR’s net run rate. This is KKR’s second win in the tournament. After a humiliating 8-wicket defeat against MI, KKR made a strong comeback.
SRH vs KKR Match Report:
In this match SRH won the toss and elected to bowl first, SRH captain Pat Cummins sent Quinton de Kock to the pavilion at the score of 14 runs, M Shami struck in the very next over and dismissed Sunil Narine, after losing both openers at the score of 16 runs KKR was in deep trouble. But KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane played a brilliant innings of 38 runs off 27 balls which helped to change the momentum. Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Venkatesh Iyer and Rinku Singh played aggressively and set a target of 201 runs.
In response, SRH lost its top order in powerplay. Nitish Kumar and Kamindu Mendis tried for some fightback but the whole team was bowled out at 120 runs in 16.4 overs. This is SRH’s third consecutive defeat. This match result changed many team’s positions in the points table.
