IPL 2025 Qualification Scenarios: Can SRH Qualify for Playoffs..?
SRH Qualification Scenarios: The Indian Premier League has moved towards its final stage. All the teams in the tournament have played 10 or more matches. Chennai Super Kings, which is one of the most successful teams in IPL history, has been eliminated from the tournament after losing to Punjab in the last match. Along with Chennai, the Rajasthan Royals’ performance has also been poor. They have also been eliminated from the playoffs after losing to Mumbai.
Sunrisers Hyderabad played their last match against Gujarat Titans and suffered a 38-run defeat. With this defeat, the clouds of elimination from the tournament are also hovering over Sunrisers Hyderabad. Now next question that arises is, can SRH qualify?

Sunrisers Hyderabad has played 10 matches in the tournament so far, in which they have won only three matches and have faced defeat in 7 matches. Due to their poor run rate, they currently sit second from the bottom in the points table.

In the IPL, a team generally needs to win at least eight matches to secure a spot in the playoffs. When the points of both teams are equal, then the net run rate plays a very important role.
Can SRH Qualify for Playoffs?
Although Sunrisers Hyderabad still has a mathematical chance to qualify. There are four more matches to be played in the tournament. Out of which two matches will be played at their home ground, Hyderabad, and two matches will be played in Bengaluru and Lucknow. The main strength of the SRH team is its strong batting unit, However, the team’s batters have underperformed throughout the season.
Three out of four matches of the SRH team are to be played on the batting pitch, which could favour SRH’s key strength. However, even if SRH wins all four matches, the chances of Hyderabad qualifying for the playoffs are very low. Their qualification for the playoffs would still depend on the outcomes of other teams and net run rate.
