According to Chopra, Rohit Sharma will not play for MI next season. This follows a significant change at the beginning of IPL 2024 when Hardik Pandya replaced Rohit as the team’s captain. The decision to change the captaincy reportedly caused a rift within the MI dressing room, impacting team dynamics throughout the season. Aakash Chopra feels that the five-time champions will make some big decisions for the next season and may not retain Ishan Kishan. Ishan Kishan will be released by the Mumbai team. Mumbai can use the ‘Right to Match’ card, as 15.5 crore is a huge amount. Chopra said on his YouTube channel, “I don’t think Ishan will be retained.”
Akash Chopra further said, “Rohit Sharma has played his last match for Mumbai Indians and he will not be seen in the blue jersey in the next season of IPL. This is just my understanding. I may be wrong, but I think Rohit Sharma will not play for Mumbai Indians at the start of the next season.
