BCCI Announces Bonuses for IPL 2024 Groundsmen and Pitch Curators
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the awards for groundsmen and pitch curators for IPL 2024. Groundsmen and pitch curators working at 10 venues this season of IPL will get Rs 25 lakh each and those at three additional venues (Dharamshala, Visakhapatnam, and Guwahati) will get Rs 10 lakh each.
BCCI Secretary Jai Shah gave this information on Monday. He tweeted, ‘The unsung heroes of our successful T20 season have been the ground staff, who made excellent pitches even in bad weather. We want to reward them for their hard work. Groundsmen and pitch curators at the 10 regular IPL venues will get Rs 25 lakh each and those at the three additional venues will get Rs 10 lakh each. IPL 2024 Host Venues and Matches Played
This season of IPL was played at 10 places. These include Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Punjab, Delhi, Rajasthan, Kolkata, Lucknow, Gujarat and Mumbai. Delhi Capitals, Punjab Kings, and Rajasthan Royals also played some of their matches on other home grounds. Delhi played at Visakhapatnam besides the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi, Punjab played at Dharamshala besides Mullanpur, while Rajasthan chose Guwahati as its second home ground besides Jaipur.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) has won the title of IPL-2024. The team defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 8 wickets in the final match. Kolkata has become the champion in this league for the third time. This team has won the title after 10 years. Kolkata last became champion in 2014.
On Sunday in Chepauk, Hyderabad won the toss and decided to bat first and were all out after scoring 113 runs in 18.3 overs. This is the lowest score in an IPL final. Kolkata achieved the target by 2 wickets in 10.3 overs. This is the fastest run chase in an IPL final. Mitchell Starc was the man of the match in the final. He took 2 wickets and also took 2 catches.
