Ishan Kishan suffered a serious eye injury and did not even come out to bat in the match between Gujarat Titans and Mumbai Indians. During the second qualifier, Mumbai pacer Jordan collided with Ishan, forcing him to leave the field. Consequently, Ishan Kishan did not participate in the batting innings. Gujarat Titans scored 233 runs while batting first. Nehal Vadera opened the innings with Rohit Sharma in place of Ishan Kishan.

Vishnu Vinod replaced Ishan as the wicketkeeper due to his eye injury.
