Jadeja Criticizes Team Selection: Anger Over High Rejections, Fewer Selections

India’s youth team clinched a 4-1 victory over Australia in the Twenty20 series. Ajay Jadeja criticized the team’s selection, highlighting Ishan Kishan‘s exclusion from the playing-11 in three matches against Australia.

Ishan scored 110 runs with two half-centuries in the three T20 matches against Australia but was replaced in the XI after a poor third match, leaving Ajay Jadeja upset. Ishan played only two matches in the ODI World Cup.

Jadeja said, “In Indian cricket, not much thought goes into selection; it’s mostly about rejection. This trend has persisted for decades.

In the recent five-match Twenty20 series, Ishan Kishan got only 3 matches. I admire him as he’s among the few players to score a double century for India in ODIs.”

He was sent back due to exhaustion? Was he genuinely fatigued after just 3 matches that he needed rest? The Indian team management has been testing him for the past two years.

How will he secure his spot if continuous testing persists? How many matches has Ishan played in the last two years?

This issue with Team India isn’t new; it’s longstanding. ‘We don’t select players properly; we easily reject them,’ Jadeja stated.
