India’s youth team clinched a 4-1 victory over Australia in the Twenty20 series. Ajay Jadeja criticized the team’s selection, highlighting Ishan Kishan‘s exclusion from the playing-11 in three matches against Australia.

Ishan scored 110 runs with two half-centuries in the three T20 matches against Australia but was replaced in the XI after a poor third match, leaving Ajay Jadeja upset. Ishan played only two matches in the ODI World Cup.

Jadeja said, “In Indian cricket, not much thought goes into selection; it’s mostly about rejection. This trend has persisted for decades.

In the recent five-match Twenty20 series, Ishan Kishan got only 3 matches. I admire him as he’s among the few players to score a double century for India in ODIs.”
