Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the T20 World Cup due to injury

Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the T20 World Cup due to injury. A BCCI official informed that Jasprit Bumrah is suffering from a serious problem of back pain.

Jasprit Bumrah’s injury is the second major setback for the Indian team after Ravindra Jadeja. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja had already been ruled out of the T20 World Cup due to a knee injury. Now Jasprit Bumrah’s exclusion from the team due to back pain has become a matter of concern for the Indian team regarding the World Cup.

According to PTI, Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the three-match T20I series against South Africa due to back stress. Unfortunately, he has also had to be out of big tournaments like the T20 World Cup. According to the report, it will take about 6 months for him to recover.

Questions have been raised on Jasprit Bumrah’s fitness after being ruled out of the tournament in the series against South Africa. Even before the Asia Cup, Bumrah had to be out of the team due to a back problem. After the Asia Cup, Jasprit Bumrah was included in the team against Australia but his performance there did not meet the expectations. Which somewhere raises doubts about the decision of the BCCI. It seems as if Jasprit Bumrah was not given proper fitness due to match practice. Now Jasprit Bumrah’s exclusion from the team just before the World Cup confirms the wrong decision of the BCCI somewhere.

Jasprit Bumrah being out of the team in this mega event is a big loss. The team will have to bear the brunt. Jasprit Bumrah will now have to stay away from the field for almost 6 months. However, there is no official statement from the BCCI on this yet.
