Jhulan Goswami Stand: The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) will name a stand at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata after legendary Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami.
The stand named after retired Indian women cricketer Jhulan Goswami will be unveiled during India’s first ODI against England on January 22 next year.
CAB Honors Jhulan Goswami
The 41-year-old Bengal cricketer retired from professional cricket in 2022 and has many big records to her name. She remains the highest wicket-taker in ODI cricket history with 255 wickets in 204 ODIs. Among active players, Australia’s Ellyse Perry is 90 wickets behind the Indian great.
The CAB recognised Jhulan Goswami’s contribution to cricket and decided to rename the Block B gallery after its former captain. Goswami revealed that she had never imagined such an honour and praised the state association’s efforts to promote women’s cricket in India.

Jhulan further said, a dedicated stand is a huge, important honour and it is possible only because of CAB’s vision to promote women’s cricket. This recognition cannot be described in words. In the last 8-10 years, CAB has done phenomenal work towards promoting women’s cricket.
