The third and last Test match of the three-match Test series between India and New Zealand will be played from November 1. Even before this, the Kiwi team won the Test series by winning the first two matches. After the Pune Test, the ICC has recently released the latest Test rankings, in which Kagiso Rabada has snatched the number-1 bowler tag from Jasprit Bumrah.
Rabada Shines in Rankings
Kagiso Rabada has become the new number 1 bowler in Test cricket. He took 9 wickets in the first Test against Bangladesh and played an important role in the victory. On the other hand, Bumrah could not take a single wicket against New Zealand in the second Test, due to which he dropped two places to number three.
Along with Kagiso Rabada, Australia’s Josh Hazlewood and India’s Ravichandran Ashwin secured the number 1 ranking for the first time since the beginning of 2019.
Rabada first reached the top in January 2018 and has remained in the top 10 consistently since then, only dropping his position in the rankings in February 2019. Hazlewood is now in second place, while Bumrah and Ashwin are third and fourth respectively.

Changes in Bowler Rankings
Ravichandran Ashwin has also dropped two places to number four despite taking five wickets against New Zealand. At the same time, his fellow bowler Ravindra Jadeja also dropped two places to number eight, as he took only three wickets. This is a big reversal in the bowlers’ rankings.
Naman Ali played an important role in the series against England on behalf of Pakistan last week. During this, he took 9 wickets, including 6 wickets in the second innings. With this, he has made it to the top 10 for the first time by making a tremendous jump of eight places and his career-best rating points have become 759.
