He played an aggressive innings and scored 156 runs in 204 balls. His extraordinary innings have strengthened New Zealand’s position in the match. With this century, Kane Williamson joined the special list of active Test cricketers.

Williamson has achieved a special achievement. It seems that Seddon Park holds special significance for Kane Williamson. He has scored his fifth consecutive Test century on this ground. He has become the first batsman to do so. Who completed five consecutive centuries at Seddon Park.

Williamson started the process of breaking records on this ground against Bangladesh in 2019. Williamson scored an unbeaten 200 against Bangladesh.

After that, in 2019 itself, he scored 104 runs against England. He also achieved a new feat by scoring an unforgettable double-century against West Indies. By scoring a century against England, he has now joined a special list. As soon as he completed his 33rd century, he equalled Alastair Cook and Steve Smith.

He has stepped to the next position in the list of those who scored the most centuries in Test cricket. With this, another achievement has been added to Williamson’s account. This was his 11th century in WTC history.  With his 33rd Test, he surpassed Harry Brooke and Yashasvi Jaiswal, who have five centuries to their name in the current WTC cycle.
