KL Rahul Expresses Disappointment Following South Africa’s Victory in 2nd ODI

Mumbai: The third and deciding match of the ODI series between India and South Africa will be played on Thursday. Both teams are ready for this match. But due to the defeat in the second match, Team India captain KL Rahul is upset.

In the second ODI, South Africa defeated India by 8 wickets. Not a single Indian batsman could hold on till 50 overs. The entire team India returned to the tent after scoring 211 runs in 46.2 overs.

South Africa achieved the winning target in 42.3 overs losing two wickets. The fast bowlers were getting help on the pitch. So losing the coin toss became expensive. In this match, Tony De Jorji scored a century.

The defeat in the second match has come at the expense of captain KL Rahul. After the match, he has expressed his strong feelings about it.

What did KL Rahul say?

“At the start of the match, the pace bowlers were getting help on the pitch. So it became difficult for the Indian batsmen to settle on this pitch. “The moisture on the pitch reduced during South Africa’s batting and their batsmen handled the Indian swing bowlers with composure,” said captain KL Rahul.

“Losing the toss proved costly. Initially, the bowlers got help. It is difficult to bat on this pitch. But some of our batsmen could not make big innings despite starting well. We can add 50-60 more runs to our tally.

Thought 240-250 would have been a good score. We lost our wickets at strategic moments,” added KL Rahul.

“Every player knows his role. It is necessary to believe in them. I strive to perform my role properly. There is no right or wrong in cricket. KL Rahul also said that he wants to make his team the best.

Who gets a place in the playing eleven in the third ODI is also a topic of discussion. Rinku Singh and Sanju Samson did not perform well. But this was Rinku’s debut match. So he can get another chance.
