Lockie Ferguson ruled out Champions Trophy: The Champions Trophy 2025 is starting from February 19 and the first match of the tournament will be played between New Zealand and Pakistan. Just before this match, the Kiwi team suffered a major setback.

New Zealand’s experienced fast bowler Lockie Ferguson has been ruled out of this tournament due to injury, while Kyle Jamieson has been included in the team in his place.

New Zealand Faces Setback with Ferguson’s Injury Ahead of Champions Trophy

It is worth noting that while bowling in an unofficial practice match against Afghanistan in Karachi on Sunday, Ferguson felt pain in his right leg. After that, some tests were done on him and it was found that he would no longer be fit for the Champions Trophy, due to which he was now dropped from the team. Jamieson, who was included in the team in his place, will leave for Pakistan this evening.

Regarding Lockie Ferguson, New Zealand head coach Gary Stead said that it was bad news for Ferguson and the team. We are disappointed to see Lockie out.
