Australia vs South Africa, 2nd ODI: South Africa have clinched the series with a win in the second ODI against Australia. Earlier, South Africa had lost the 3-match T20I series in Australia. The visiting South African team has taken revenge for this in the 3-match ODI series. With Matthew Breetzke’s record fifty and Tristan Stubbs’ strong batting, South Africa had scored 277 runs in 49.1 overs. Australia’s attempt to chase these runs and equalize the series failed. Half the team knelt before Lungi Ngidi.

Josh Inglis fought hard, but in the end, he was left all alone!

Chasing 277 runs, the Kangaroo batsmen once again threw a tantrum. Except for Josh Inglis’ 87 runs off 74 balls, no other batsman could make a big innings. After him, Cameron Green scored 35 runs off 54 balls for Australia. Half the team was bowled out for a single score. As a result, the Australian team was all out for 193 runs. In the previous match, the Australian team was bowled out for 198 runs while chasing the runs. They could not even score a single run.

Australia got off to a poor start in the chase. Nandre Burger dismissed Travis Head for just 6 runs. Mulder broke captain Mitch Le Marsh’s innings for 18 runs. Then Enigady came into the picture. He dismissed Marnus Labuschagne for just one run. Enigady played a key role in the team’s victory by taking 5 wickets off Josh Inglis, the highest run scorer for Australia. He was awarded the Man of the Match award.

Fifties from Breetzke and Stubbs Power South Africa

South Africa had a worse start than Australia, but after the top batsmen had taken the sting, Britzke and Stubbs put in a strong innings. The team was relieved when Thew Britzke scored a record-breaking 88 off 78 balls and Stubbs scored 74 off 87 balls, and finally, thanks to Enigde’s penetrating knock, South Africa sealed the series with the match.
