Madan Lal Expresses Confidence in India’s Asia Cup Win, Raises Doubts for World Cup

India will win the Asia Cup but in the World Cup..., the shocking statement of the former player of India

In the coming months, the Indian cricket team has two important challenges ahead. The Asia Cup starts on August 30, and the ODI World Cup begins in India on October 5. Former Indian player Madan Lal has already made a big prediction as soon as Team India was announced for the Asia Cup. He believes that India will win the upcoming Asia Cup, but he’s not sure about their performance in the 2023 World Cup. According to Madan Lal, any of the top six teams could win the World Cup.

The selectors have announced India’s 17-man squad for the Asia Cup, with Lokesh Rahul and Shreyas Iyer returning to the squad. Tilak Verma, who recently made his debut in international cricket, has also got a place in the team. According to Madan Lal, the Indian team can do well in the Asia Cup but nothing can be said about the World Cup.

Former player’s shocking statement while talking to Hindustan Times Madan Lal said: I am sure that our team will win the Asia Cup but any team from Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan, or South Africa can win the World Cup. Everyone has a chance. Team India is playing at home, so that will obviously be an advantage. The pressure is going to be the same. The comforting factor is that all these players are very experienced and know how to play under pressure. My concern is about the fitness of the players. Overall, Madan Lal expressed concern over the injury of the players.
