The wait for the 2023 Indian Premier League is over as the first match between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings will be played today at the Narendra Modi International Stadium. Mukesh Chaudhary was a hero of the previous edition, and his absence has caused a headache for captain MS Dhoni and the team management. They have replaced Mukesh Chaudhary with Akash Singh, another deadly bowler who can present a challenge to the batsmen of Gujarat Titans. At the age of 21, Akash Singh hails from Rajasthan and has represented India in the Under-19 World Cup. He made his T20 debut for Rajasthan in 2019 and has played 9 T20 matches, taking 7 wickets. In the 2022-23 season, he left Rajasthan and started playing cricket for Nagaland.
