MCG expressed its desire to host the 3 Test match series between India and Pakistan.

The last bilateral Test series between India and Pakistan was held in 2007. After that in 2012, there was also a limited-overs series. India and Pak match always be very high voltage. Now the Melbourne Cricket Club (MCC) has given its response regarding the hosting of the Test match between India and Pakistan. The management of the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) has sought information from Cricket Australia regarding the possibility of hosting a Test series between the two countries. In fact, this year’s T20 World Cup match between India and Pakistan took place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. More than 90 thousand spectators were present at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. So many spectators express the thrill of this match.



Cricket fans eagerly wait for every match between India and Pakistan. The result of the same was also seen at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Seeing the immense success of this match, MCC Chief Executive Stuart Fox has expressed his desire to host the Test between the two countries.



According to ESPN Cricinfo, he said, “It would be great to have three Test matches at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. He said that information should be given about these three matches whether there is a possibility or not. We are ready for this. We have taken up the matter with Cricket Australia. Although it is not easy considering the schedule, I think it will be a big challenge.

Stuart said that if any ground is not limited to any country and is available internationally, then it can be a great topic. For this, we can lobby with the ICC. We have talked about this as well. We hope that Cricket Australia will take our matter to the International Cricket Council. When you see some stadiums around the world being empty, I think a packed stadium can provide a good environment to enjoy the game.”

Pakistan has to play a Test match against Australia in 2023 at Melbourne Cricket Ground. Stuart hopes that like the exciting match between India and Pakistan, the crowd will be seen in this T20 match as well. Stuart said, “I had never seen anything like what I saw between India and Pakistan at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The kind of atmosphere and the noise after every ball were excellent. Everyone enjoyed it.”
