MI Squad IPL 2025: Mumbai Indians (MI) had retained five capped players – Hardik Pandya, Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah and Tilak Verma ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction. They had a purse of Rs 45 crore left for the auction in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Sunday, November 24.
MI IPL 2025 Squad: Key Retentions and Auction Picks
The five-time former champions bought only four players on the first day of the IPL 2025 auction. They had to wait for almost five hours to buy their first player on the first day of the auction. They opened their auction account by buying New Zealand star pacer Trent Boult for Rs 12.50 crore. Mumbai Indians re-acquired Punjab’s explosive batsman Naman Dheer for Rs 5.25 crore.
MI started their auction on the second day by signing flamboyant South African wicketkeeper-batsman Ryan Rickelton at his base price of Rs 1 crore. Mumbai also bought experienced pacer Deepak Chahar and mystery spinner Allahu Ghazanfar for Rs 9.25 and Rs 4.80 crore respectively. The Hardik-led side also signed destructive England batsman Will Jacks for Rs 5.25 crore.
