Mohammad Shami to Miss New Zealand Test Series Due to Injury

India’s experienced fast bowler Mohammad Shami will be absent from the upcoming Test series against New Zealand. Shami has been out of the team for a long time due to an ankle injury, which required surgery. Although his injury has improved significantly during the rehabilitation period, he is still not fully fit.

Mohammad Shami plays for Bengal in the Ranji Trophy. Recently, the Bengal Cricket Association announced their squad for the Ranji Trophy, and Shami’s name was missing. The association also tweeted about him, stating that he has not yet fully recovered.

Although the BCCI has not issued an official statement on Shami’s fitness, it is widely speculated that he will remain unavailable for the New Zealand series. If he will not recover from injury BCCI will be looking to finalize their bowling line-up quickly, with potential replacements.
