The first warm-up match of the T20 World Cup 2022 was played between India and Australia at the Brisbane ground. Almost till the last, the Indian team was looking light. But after 18 overs, the Indian bowlers changed the course of the match, taking Australia’s total of 6 wickets in 12 balls. India won this match by 6 runs. The hero of the Indian victory was Mohammed Shami.
The Australian team won the toss and decided to bowl first. due to the brilliant Batting of KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav Indian team put 186 runs on the scoreboard. The host team got the target of 187 runs, which was made very easy by captain Aaron Finch. But after the first ball in the 18th over, the match turned around.
Harshal Patel sent back Aaron Finch to the pavilion at the very first ball of 19 overs. After this, Tim David was run out due to a throw from Virat Kohli on his next ball.
