Mohammed Siraj Tops ODI ICC Rankings; Shubman Gill Closing in on Babar Azam

Siraj Leads the Bowling Charts, Gill Nears Babar’s Batting Throne in Latest ICC Rankings

Indian team’s opening batsman, Shubman Gill, is approaching Pakistani captain Babar Azam in the ICC batting rankings. In the latest rankings, Gill has further closed the gap in rating points. Last week, there was a 43-point difference between the two batsmen, which has now reduced to 10 points.

Babar Azam holds the first place with 857 points, and Shubman Gill has 847 points. The Indian team has temporarily saved Babar Azam’s top position by resting Shubman Gill. Gill displayed a brilliant performance in the first two matches of the ODI series against Australia, scoring a total of 178 runs. In the first match of the series in Mohali, the opening batsman played an aggressive innings of 74 runs. Gill also achieved his sixth ODI century of his career in Indore.

In the latest rankings, Gill has 847 rating points, while Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have dropped one place each. Kohli has moved from the 8th to the 9th position with 694 points, and Rohit has shifted from the 10th to the 11th position with 682 points.
