Mumbai’s Strong Comeback on Day 3
Defending champions Mumbai, led by Ajinkya Rahane, made a strong comeback on the third day in the opening match against Baroda. After scoring 290 runs in the first innings, Baroda restricted Mumbai to 214 runs. This gave Baroda a decisive lead of 76 runs in the first innings. Baroda had a chance to build another big score with this lead. But the Mumbai bowlers stopped Baroda within 190 runs. Mumbai bowled out Baroda for 185 runs in 60.3 overs. So Mumbai has got a challenge of 262 runs for victory.
