New Zealand 2023 World Cup Squad:

The ICC ODI World Cup 2023 is set to begin next month, and New Zealand has revealed its 15-member squad for the tournament. Explosive batsman Finn Allen has not been included in the team, mainly due to injury concerns, and has been replaced by Will Young. Fast bowlers Kyle Jamieson and Adam Milne, on the other hand, couldn’t make it to the tournament due to injuries.

New Zealand Bowling Attack:

They are recovering from their respective injuries, which ruled them out of the England series. Meanwhile, Trent Boult and James Neesham, who do not have central contracts, have been included in the squad.

When it comes to the bowling department, the pace attack will be led by Boult, Tim Southee, Lockie Ferguson, and Matt Henry, while Ish Sodhi and Mitchell Santner will take care of the spin department. Daryl Mitchell and Neesham have been included in the team as all-rounders, with Neesham filling in for the injured Michael Bracewell.

The team’s wicketkeeping duties will be handled by Tom Latham. Kane Williamson, who suffered an injury during IPL 2023, is currently in the recovery phase, and no specific timeline has been given for his return. Therefore, Tom Latham will lead the team until Williamson’s return. Both Williamson and Southee will be playing in their fourth ICC World Cup.

New Zealand Batting Line-up:
