In Wellington, the Bangladesh cricket team is currently touring New Zealand, engaging in a series of Tests, ODIs, and T20s.
After the completion of the Test series, both teams are actively participating in the ODI series. Following this, Bangladesh’s tour of New Zealand will conclude with a three-match T20 series.
Kane Williamson captains the New Zealand team in the T20 series. Notably, Kane missed playing T20 matches since November 2022 due to a six-month injury sustained during the IPL’s 16th season.

His injury occurred while attempting to block a six, leading to a setback. Kane made his comeback during the recently concluded ICC ODI World Cup and is now set to participate in the T20 series.
However, New Zealand’s top opener, Devon Conway, has been rested for this series due to workload management.
Several players, including Michael Bracewell, Lockie Ferguson, Matt Henry, and Henry Shipley, have been sidelined due to injuries within the New Zealand squad.
Trent Boult had previously declared his unavailability. Consequently, fast bowler Ben Sears has earned a spot in the team. Additionally, Jimmy Neesham has returned to the squad.
The Bangladesh squad for the T20 series consists of: Najmul Hussain Shanto (captain), Liton Kumer Das, Rony Talukdar, Tauheed Hridoy, Shamim Hussain, Afif Hussain Dhrubo, Soumya Sarkar, Mehdi Hasan Miraz (Vice-Captain), Shaq Mehedi Hasan, Mustafizur Rahman, Shoriful Islam, Hasan Mohammad, Tanveer Islam, and Tanjeem Hasan Saqib.
Meanwhile, the New Zealand squad for the T20 series includes: Kane Williamson (captain), Finn Allen, Mark Chapman, Kyle Jamieson, Adam Milne, Daryl Mitchell, James Neesham, Glenn Phillips, Mitchell Santner, Ben Sears, Tim Seifert, Ish Sodhi, and Tim Southee.
The schedule for the T20 series is as follows:
First match – Wednesday, 27th December. Second match – Friday, 29th December. Third match – Sunday, 31st December.
