World champions New Zealand Women have scored a resounding 76-run win over Team India in the second ODI at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. New Zealand challenged Team India to 160 runs for victory. But the batsmen of Team India knelt before the bowlers of New Zealand.
The batsmen in the top and middle order failed to make big innings after the expected start. But then Radha Yadav and Saima Thakor shared a 70-run partnership for the ninth wicket to close the gap and play a decisive role in avoiding an embarrassing defeat. New Zealand have leveled the 3-match series 1-1 with this win. So the third and final match is going to be decisive and tight.

Team India’s Struggles with Batting
Smriti Mandhana 0, Shafali Verma 11, Yastika Bhatia 12, Jemimah Rodrigues 17, Captain Harmanpreet Kaur 24, Tejal Hasbanis 15, Deepti Sharma 15 and Arundhati Reddy 2 were dismissed. Therefore, Team India’s position was 108 for 8 in 26.6 overs.
But then Radha Yadav and Saima Thakor shared a partnership of 70 runs for the ninth wicket. Due to these two, Team India’s hope of victory remained. New Zealand was also in trouble for some time. But with Saima Thakor out, the ninth wicket was lost and the hopes of victory faded.
