Paarl Royals Becomes The First Franchise To Use 20 Overs of Spin in a T20 Match

Paarl Royals T20 Match: A unique work has been done in South Africa’s franchise League SA 20. This work has not happened in any cricket league in the world to date. This is done by Paarl Royals. The Royals team has done the work that no team could dare in T20. He did this work against Pretoria Capitals on 25 January.

Paarl Royals Make History in SA20 with All-Spin Bowling

In this match, the Royals’ team won and defeated the Capitals by 11 runs. Batting first, the Royals scored 140 runs losing four wickets. Capitals’ team could score 129 runs losing seven wickets in 20 overs.

In this match, the Royals team showed such courage to win which no one could show in T20 cricket. The royals did not use a single fast bowler in this match. He used all spinners. Royals captain Riley Russo used five bowlers and five were spinners. This is the first time in franchise cricket that a team got their 20 overs only from spinners and did not use a fast bowler.

The team bowled with Bajorn Fortune, Dunith Vellege, Mujib ur Rehman, Naqbayomji Peter, and Joe Root and all these were spinners. Fortune, Rahman and Root took two wickets each. Vellege took one wicket.

In this match, Root showed the batting Jauhar before his bowling. Root scored an unbeaten 78 in this match, facing 56 balls. In this inning, he hit eight fours and two sixes. Captain David Miller scored an unbeaten 29 runs.
Will Jacks scored 56 runs for the Capitals. Kyle Varyne scored 30 runs. Apart from these two, no other batsman in the team could reach even ten points.
