Pakistan Announces Squad for Test Series Against Bangladesh
The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced its squad for the Test series to be held in their home country. A two-match Test series will be played between Pakistan and Bangladesh from August 21. Shan Masood-led Pakistan team is looking for its first win. Earlier, under the leadership of Masood, the neighbors toured Australia for a Test series. Since then they have been looking for victory. Babar Azam and Shaheen Afridi, the key players in the Pakistan team, were not given any major responsibility. So Saud Shakeel seems to have won the lottery. Because he has been made vice-captain.

New Faces and Key Changes in the Squad
Some new faces have got a chance in the 17-member squad announced by Pakistan. Saud Shakeel has been promoted and has been named as vice-captain. Shakil’s replacement of Shaheen Afridi raised eyebrows. PCB took this decision to reduce the workload on Afridi. Pakistan team will play 9 Tests, 14 Twenty20s, and around 17 ODIs till April. Everyone was shocked when Saud Shakeel was handed the vice-captaincy of the team under the leadership of Shan Masood. Opener Imam-ul-Haq was ruled out while Hasan Ali and Mohammad Wasim Jr were ruled out due to injuries. Apart from this, Faheem Ashraf, Mohammad Nawaz, Noman Ali, and Sajid Khan were also dropped.
