England’s openers Alex Hales and Phillip Salt started the innings aggressively. Both shared a partnership of 55 runs in 23 balls. Hales was dismissed for 27 runs in 12 balls. But Salt troubled the bowlers from one end. England managed to score 82 runs in the powerplay. In the 15th over itself, England won the match.
Philippe Salt scored 87 runs in 41 balls with the help of 13 fours and 3 sixes. David Malan scored 26 runs off 18 balls. Ben Ducklett scored 26 runs in 16 balls. Among Pakistan bowlers, Shahnawaz Dahani gave 33 runs in 2 overs, Mohammad Nawaz 43 in 4 overs, and Aamer Jamal gave 29 runs in 2 overs. Shadab Khan was successful in taking 2 wickets for Pakistan.
