Pakistan scored 556 runs in the first innings. Pakistan had an amazing start. So there were signs that the match would be a draw. But on the fourth day of the match, all the equations changed. In the last session, the game changed to Pakistan losing by an innings and 47 runs. Pakistan became the first team in the history of Test cricket to lose more than 500 runs in the first innings.

In reply to Pakistan’s 556, England declared their first innings at 823 runs. England thus took a lead of 267 runs. But Pakistan could only reach 220 runs in the second innings and England won. Pakistani team started the fifth day at 152 for 4. But England’s bowlers bowled Pakistan by 6 runs in the first session itself.
