Pakistan Announces Squad for Champions Trophy 2025
PCB announced its team for the Champions Trophy 2025 on 31 January. The ICC had set January 12 as the deadline for all teams to announce their squads, with February 11 as the last date for any changes.
India and Pakistan will play on 23 February. All teams except India will play their matches in Pakistan. This match has been scheduled for India using the hybrid model. The Indian team will play all its matches in Dubai.
Sam Ayub Ruled Out Due to Injury
According to recent reports, Pakistan batsman Sam Ayub will not be able to join the team due to injury. He injured his biceps during the South Africa tour. His fitness was already doubtful, but now, after the teamโs announcement, it has become clear that he will not be a part of the team.
Fakhar Zaman Included in the Squad
The left-handed opener Fakhar Zaman, who played an important role in the 2017 final match, has been included in the team. Earlier, he was not part of the team, but he got a chance due to Ayubโs injury.
