The Pakistan Cricket Board, suffering from constant defeats, has started planning a new strategy. Babar Azam and captain Shan Masood along with other players attended a one-day workshop organized by the Pakistan Cricket Board on Sunday. Through this, the plans of Pakistan Cricket were discussed. This camp was held in Lahore. It featured Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Rizwan, Sai Ayub, Salman Ali Agha, Saud Shakeel, Shadab Khan and Shaheen Shah Afridi. Head coaches Jason Gillespie and Gary Kastern guided the players.
Pakistan Cricket Board President Mohsin Naqvi said that we are trying to correct the mistakes made in the past. Steps are being taken for the bright future of Pakistan cricket. This camp was organized to find solutions to problems. Some decisions will be taken keeping former players in mind in the future. Recently Pakistan had to lose a Test series against Bangladesh in their home country.
Meanwhile, Pakistan have not been able to get a single win at home for the last three years. After handing over the captaincy of the Test team to Shan Masood, Pakistan toured Australia and were beaten there too. The loss against Bangladesh has made it difficult for the neighbors to stay in the WTC race. Pakistan’s ‘test’ is being seen in all formats, One Day, Twenty20 and Test. Pakistan has not been able to win a single Test match at their home ground for as many as 1,303 days. Notably, Pakistan became the second team after Bangladesh to lose a Test series at home against each of the other ten oldest Test-playing nations.
Pakistan Cricket Board is at a critical point, and the upcoming strategies and decisions will be essential for the team’s success in the future.
