Pakistan Rest Mohammad Rizwan for Third T20 Against Australia

The Pakistan team is currently on a tour of Australia. It won the ODI series played on this tour. But it has faced defeat in the T20 series. It lost the first two matches of the three-match series and with this, it lost the series.

After this, the Pakistan team made a big decision regarding the third T20 match and showed the way out to Mohammad Rizwan, who was appointed captain before this tour.

Mohammad Rizwan Rested for Final T20 Against Australia

Under the captaincy of Rizwan, Pakistan defeated Australia 2-1 in the three-match ODI series. At the same time, it was expected that Pakistan under the captaincy of Ridjawan would win the T20 series as well. But this did not happen. Once again in T20, Australia has troubled it and won the series.

Pakistan announced it is playing 11 for the third T20 match being played today two hours in advance. A surprising thing was seen in this. Mohammad Rizwan’s name was not in the playing-11. In his place, Salman Ali Agha has been given the command of the team.

Rizwan did not get a place on the team as well. However, the board has not yet issued any statement regarding this matter nor has it told why Rizwan was dropped from the team. Probably this decision has been taken to give Rizwan a rest. In this match, Jahanabad Khan has got a chance to make his T20 debut. Shaheen Shah Afridi gave him the debut cap.

After the tour of Australia, Pakistan has to tour Zimbabwe. On this tour too, the team will play ODI and T20 series.

The team has also been announced for this tour in which Mohammad Rizwan has been kept in the ODI series but has been rested from T20. Salman is captaining the T20 team in place of Rizwan.
